As photographers we capture many things. Sometimes we love what we shoot or we just hate it, but we do it anyway. This is just one of those I hated, but for the sake of documenting, I captured it. I called it Flag Madness.

I am as patriotic as the next guy, but sometimes we do some silly things. This is one of them. Never will I wear the flag of Barbados on my backside. Not only do I find it not in good taste, it is downright disrespectful.

Carnival makes revelers do some silly things, like drinking out of a chamber pot. To many Barbadians (Bajans) the chamber pot is affectionately known as a topsy. I will tell ya one thing; I ain’t no rum out no topsy.

Definitely she was extremely beautiful, but she was also tired. All the jumping was at its end. Since the sun cast a shadow on her face, I decided to play around with it while editing.

It is hard sometimes to capture raw emotion. From experience I can tell you when I feel a good soca sound I am usually in a trance. It can sometimes take you away.

This young lady seem to be somewhere between ecstasy and passion. I can’t blame her. The sound from the giant speakers from the truck was thumping the streets.
